CTK Kids have been working hard this year to bring Christmas to the children of Christ Our Savior of the ICCEC Southern Mindanao, Philippines.

The Final Steps!

The last leg of the mission is upon us!

This week, the church is finally receiving the packages in the Philippines!

Our goal is to help them with final costs of receiving the boxes out of customs, and to help them celebrate with a fun Christmas party where all of the children will receive their gifts!  Our Goal is $600.  CTK will be providing this donation this week through Western Union.  Any additional funds received above and beyond the goal will go toward helping them organize an amazing Christmas party!

Join us on Tuesdays throughout the season of Advent as we celebrate a short 30-Minute Advent Mass with Eucharist.  We will start each week with a Christmas Carol Sing-Along led by our Music Director Chris Losee.  Each week we will have a special family activity, a church event where everyone in the church is invited to attend, and a fun family meal together.  We will start by decorating the church, then enjoying a Christmas Movie, and finally lighting up the outdoor tree with music, hot cocoa, and homemade Christmas cookies made by our CTK families!  We hope you will take the time to enjoy these simple breaks in the season to come together to celebrate the True Reason for the Season!

Tuesday, November 29 – DECK THE HALLS

4:00pm Family Ornament Decorating
5:15pm Christmas Carol Sing-Along
5:30pm Family Advent Mass
6:00pm Deck the Halls!
Open to everyone in the church – young and not so young alike!
Bring Christmas Decorations and a dish to share!
Everyone will be taking the decorations that are donated and displaying them to decorate the church for this special season.
DINNER: While we decorate, we will have a Bring Something Eat Something Dinner for everyone who is helping.

Tuesday, December 6 – ST. NICHOLAS DAY

5:30pm Family Advent Mass – with Special St. Nicholas Day Surprise!
– Kids! Bring an Extra Shoe to receive a special St. Nicholas Day surprise during Mass!
6:00pm Family Christmas Movie Night
Wear your Christmas PJs.  Bring comfy pillows and blankets to snuggle up!
DINNER: Hot Dogs, Popcorn, and Movie Candy!  Dinner will be held after Mass during the Family Movie Night.

Tuesday, December 13 – CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

4:45pm Pizza Dinner for EVERYONE!

6:00pm Outdoor Christmas Tree Lighting
Everyone is invited to join us for a special Christmas Tree Lighting outside on our CTK Property!  We will have hot cocoa for everyone.  Bring a plate of fancy Christmas Cookies to share with everyone!  Chris Losee is going to lead us in special music for the lighting ceremony!
DINNER: Pizza dinner will be served at 4:45pm for everyone in the church before Mass.  Cheese pizza, salad, water, and lemonade will be provided for kids and adults. Dessert will be Christmas cookies provided by everyone in the church after Mass during the Christmas Tree Lighting!

Saturday, December 3 – FAMILY ORCHESTRA CONCERT

Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra presents “Holidays with the Family”

Listen to the NDSO play while watching the movie “The Snowman”.  The snowman (video with orchestral accompaniment) is a classic tale of a snowman that comes to life on Christmas Eve and flies to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus.

Christ the King’s Music Director, Christopher Losee, is a member of the NDSO, and will be the Principal Percussionist for this concert.

At this year’s Piano Christmas Concert, you will hear beautiful piano music designed for 4 hands on the same piano. You will also hear classical arrangements from famous composers. Carol & Valentina will also be playing classic holiday music. Featured guest musicians will include Nick Pfeister, Christopher Losee, and Sarah Bell-Losee.
